Wow, what a fantastic time I had at the reunion! I still have an ear-to-ear grin. I'm so happy. I had the best time seeing all of you there.
You know, when you're planning something like this, you have a certain idea of how you hope it will turn out. Well, it ended up being beyond my expectations. Gretchen did such a wonderful job organizing the event, Mandy did a great job decorating, the food was delicious and tons of classmates showed up! Truly, it is the crowd that makes the party. Thank you all so much for coming out to make this event what it was. I think John Green said it best in his directory response about his fondest memory. He said, "The school spirit was so great in '87" Yes, it was and the spirit of our classmates is still great today, maybe even better than it was 20 years ago.
I loved talking to so many of you and there were so many more I didn't get to talk to for nearly long enough. I think we could have stayed there another 4 hours and still would have been having a good time.
We raised a lot of money that night to go toward the 25 year reunion. Thank you all so much for your generosity. I know there were a lot of classmates who would have liked to have been at this reunion but couldn't for one reason or another. I sincerely hope we will see them at the 25. It will be here before we know it.
Between the Bakerton Elementary kids, the people I shared my Junior High classes with and my crazy Vo-Tech gang, almost all of my best buddies were there.
It's not an exaggeration when I say that helping to plan for and then attending this reunion was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
Thank you all so very much.
Sincerely,
Elaine
